Celebrity Quotes of the Week: Wendy Williams Drags Nicki Minaj Over Alleged Nas Romance

Plus, words from Tina Lawson, La La Anthony and more.

Published June 1, 2017

It's been a dramatic week for celebrities, ranging from Wendy Williams dragging Nicki Minaj over Nas romance to Tina Lawson spilling some tea on Beyoncé's pregnancy.

See what some of your favorite famous faces had to say below:

  1. Wendy Williams recommends Nicki Minaj go to Ellen to 'plead her case' on dating Nas:

"Nas does not need to have a girlfriend who still sweats the red carpet. I like Nas being low key... He's a cool type dude who can smash a Nicki Minaj any day he wants but doesn't have to claim her for a girlfriend… This is nothing against Nicki, but if you'd like to plead your case, you can take it on Ellen and I'm sure Ellen will understand."

  2. Nicole Murphy shares her opinion on Kathy Griffin’s graphic Trump photo:

"Well he already set the bar for that, there are a lot of people that have been getting hurt over this. You know because since he became president you're seeing all this violence come out, people being racist and all that stuff. And it's like, 'Oh my God where did this come from?' and ever since he became president it's just been a mess, so he already set the bar, but actually I think that's a quite, quite, funny pic."

  3. Here’s how La La feels after filing for divorce:

"You just, what can you do? My mom always says, 'Worry when people don't care about you.' And that's what I tell myself. Maybe they just — we're that interesting that people want to know what we're doing.”

  4. Benny Boom didn’t appreciate John Singleton shading All Eyez on Me:

"I just felt disappointed about the rhetoric. I understand he's disappointed in the process. But Tupac was not happy with every single person he came in contact with by the end of his life, and we know this. The Hughes brothers, John. There's several people out there who he spoke openly about not being friends with. This project is happening the way that Pac wants it to happen, and there's nothing that's gonna stop it."

  5. Tiger Woods says his DUI had nothing to do with alcohol:

"I understand the severity of what I did and I take full responsibility for my actions. I want the public to know that alcohol was not involved. What happened was an unexpected reaction to prescribed medications. I didn't realize the mix of medications had affected me so strongly.

This set includes a number of screen grabs taken from dash cam footage, which was released by Jupiter Police on Wednesday May 31. During the arrest, Woods was asked to carry out a number of sobriety tests, including walking in a straight line, touching his nose, standing on one leg and reciting the alphabet during the arrest on May 29. Woods can be seen carrying out a number of the tasks before he was put in handcuffs and placed up against a police car. He can be seen wearing a baseball cap, which the cops remove, and a tight fitting Nike sports top. He is then seen sitting in the back of the police car before being driven to a local police station. The golfing legend was arrested on DUI charges in the early hours of Monday morning after police found his vehicle parked along the side of the road in Jupiter, Florida. Woods was taken into custody and to a testing facility, where he arrived at 4:02 a.m. According to the affidavit, a breath test showed that the golfer didn't register anything during the alcohol test. In a statement released Monday night, Woods had said alcohol was not a factor in his arrest, which he said stemmed from an "unexpected reaction" to prescription medication.
