Hip Hop Awards 2022: No Luck Just Bars with These Top Tracks Off Latto’s Award-Nominated '777' Album

The rising Atlanta emcee is nominated for several awards, including “Song of the Year”.

Before we know it, the 2022 BET Hip Hop Awards show will be here and it’s expected to be one of the biggest celebrations of hip hop music and culture of the year, hosted by legendary rapper Fat Joe. Dozens of the industry’s most prominent and influential figures will be in the building for a show stopping performance and must-see winning moments.

Among those up for nominations this year is Atlanta native Lotto who's up for several awards including “Hip Hop Album of the Year” for her  “Song of the Year” for “Big Energy.” The rising star earned her first nod in 2020, for “Best New Hip Hop Artist” but lost to the late Pop Smoke. This could be the year for the burgeoning to earn her first trophy, but first, check out some of the hottest tracks from Latto’s 777 album and don’t forget to tune into the ceremony airing Tuesday, October 4, at 9 PM ET/PT on BET.

  • “Big Energy”

    Latto “Big Energy” took off almost immediately following its release in 2021. The track x became the rapper's highest-charting song on the US Billboard Hot 100, her highest-charting song on the US Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number three in April 2022. peaking at number three in April 2022.   • "Soufside"

    Soufside served as the second single from Latto’s sophomore album 777, for which she earned a nomination for “Best Hip Hop Album of the Year.” The visual finds Latto rapping about her hometown as she drives around in a pink sports car showing off the various places she mentions.

  • "Wheelie"

    Latto links up with fellow Atlanta rapper 21 Savage for a track titled “Wheelie.” ​​The record features  a sample from the Three 6 Mafia’s classic song "Slob on my Knob." The song is one of Latto’s more mature and sex-focus projects.
