The Game Dropped a Very Pretty Penny in Honor of Prince

The Game Dropped a Very Pretty Penny in Honor of Prince

Worth every penny, too.

The Game has been showing love to Prince from the very beginning, despite the singer once turning down a collaboration with him because of the rapper’s choice to use one curse word. The Game later shared that the two had a laugh about it, and continues to hold fond memories of his music idol.

After penning a tribute song dedicated to the late legend, he decided to pay homage once more, this time in a visual fashion.

The rapper recently commissioned a painting for the singer dear to his heart, calling on the artistic talents of Madsteez to immortalize the icon using his signature color palate (lots of purple, of course) and personalized style.

While the piece came with a hefty price tag — at $65,000 — The Game was beyond excited to add this piece to his budding art collection and has been beaming ever since, proudly taking to Instagram to show off the commissioned portrait.

“I can’t thank you enough for this amazing painting of Prince,” he wrote. “This might be your best piece yet.… My living room belong in Haute Living magazine now!”

Check out the beautiful piece in the photos below.
