Wale was a featured guest on The Breakfast Club this morning (May 25), where he joined Charlamagne Tha God, Angela Yee and DJ Envy, to talk shop about his new single, the state of his career in 2016, and of course, his relationship with Meek Mill.
The rapper talked about how he’s been receiving a good response from his new single, “My P.Y.T.” which is off of his forthcoming album, SHINE. After talking in-depth about his career and recent accomplishments, the conversation shifted to a personal level, where Wale brought up his occasional beef with Meek Mill and how the two “will always be good.”
“When you have a big family, and there’s two brothers that are close in age, that’s like us,” he says. “That’s my brother. We are always try to outdo the other. If something go down, Meek is always gonna ask if I’m good or if I need anything.”
“There are records where we are going at each other, and that s**t ain’t fake,” he says. “At the end of the day, that’s my n****a.”
He also gave props to Mill winning the top rap album at the Billboard Music Awards, saying that it was due to hard work paying off.
Check out his current thoughts regarding Mill around the 17-minute mark in the video below.
