The underlying theme? He is on a mission to bring real emceeing back to the forefront of rap music, and is more interested in rappers settling their beef through the art of rap itself and not through social media.
Last week Budden set free a diss track, titled “Making a Murderer (Part 1)” which took jabs at both Meek and Drizzy. Meek Mill responded, and Budden once again reminded everyone how the Philadelphia rapper’s opinion is irrelevant in turn.
A year ago to the date, Budden took a shot on Twitter that still applies to their current-day differences and yesterday (July 4) celebrated the throwback in a post captioned, “Happy Anniversary,” drawing attention to how in Budden’s mind, not much has changed.
“#1. I think you’ve taken some things outta context. I didn’t diss u. #2 U don’t rap well enough to go this route w me,” Budden’s throwback tweet read.
Today (July 5) the veteran rapper continued the conversation, asking Meek to “Do yourself a favor, sit back & watch a real MC do what you couldn’t.”
Maybe this time around Meek Mill will respond with a diss track of his own?
