She had filed a lawsuit against Roc Nation, which is part of the reason Hov dropped her from his label. Ora was also rumored to be the infamous "Becky with the good hair" Beyonce mentioned among all the other infidelity stories she relayed on her latest album, Lemonade.
That’s why it was strange that she had praise for the power couple during a recent interview and cover story with Cosmopolitan UK. Ora says she still looks up to Jay and Bey and calls them “good mentors.”
"I'm still happy I've had this incredible experience,” she said when asked about them. “Jay is one of my idols and Beyonce is obviously the queen of life. I'll never not appreciated the experience I had with them and the things I've seen."
Rita Ora signed with Roc Nation in 2008. She would release her debut album, Ora, with the label in 2012, however it would be her only one within the eight years she was with Jay Z’s imprint. The two have since sued each other, with Ora claiming that she wasn’t able to put out her sophomore LP while with Roc Nation. She has since signed with Atlantic Records UK.
Also during her interview with Cosmo UK, Rita Ora spoke about her past relationship with Calvin Harris, new Adidas collection, and her new role as host of America's Next Top Model. Check out the full story here.
