Kevin Hart Has a Real-Life Record Deal

His alter ego just leveled up.

Published August 11, 2016

Those familiar with Kevin Hart’s hilarious stand-up comedy career may have been already introduced to his alter ego, Chocolate Droppa. For those who aren't in the know, Droppa is exactly what you'd think of when imagining a comedian embarking on a rap career himself: funny, silly, at times awkward and full of surprises.

Hart’s character has made some rounds doing radio interviews since he stepped out onto the rap scene, while also freestyling about being vegan, iPhones, wearing wigs and touching on many other random topics while blessing the mic.

So while his parody is alive and well, it appears as though Chocolate Droppa is leveling up his career in a way many rappers have only dreamed of.

As reported, the satirical rapper has signed with Motown Records. (Yup, we’ll let that sink in for a second.)

While details of the deal are still mostly unknown, it was revealed that the rapper’s first album will be released sometime this fall.

Considering what Chocolate Droppa has been up to in the past musically, it sure is going to be interesting.
