Dwyane Wade Attempts the #SoGoneChallenge, Proves Why He's Not a Rapper

Sometimes it's best to stick to what you're good at.

Dwyane Wade is the latest celebrity to take a stab at the #SoGoneChallenge, where fans and rappers alike are recording themselves freestyling over the instrumental to Monica and Missy Elliot’s hit single from 2003.

Only problem — Wade is not a rapper (repeat, not a rapper) and, friendly reminder, the internet can be a ruthless place.

The NBA champion took to Instagram to post his video clip, further proving how he should stick to the basketball court and not attempt to get on the mic ever again.

While Twitter harshly roasted him for his efforts, the athlete himself pointed out he was just having “a lil fun" and we agree there's no harm in that. After all, Monica herself shut the challenge down already.

Check out Wade’s poorly received entry in the still-trending challenge in the clip below.

Having alil fun haha!!! I challenge #TeamWade @kingjames @cp3 @carmeloanthony do this #Sogonechallenge
