Chris Brown Appears on 'Good Morning America' to Declare His Innocence

We hear you, Breezy!

Published September 6, 2016

Chris Brown’s summer isn’t ending nearly the way he’d have liked.

Exactly a week ago, the singer found himself in handcuffs after a day-long standoff with police outside of his home in Los Angeles. He was booked for assault with a deadly weapon after Baylee Curran spoke out against Breezy, claiming that he allegedly threatened her with a gun.

As new details are discovered throughout the ongoing investigation, it is starting to look like Brown was set up by his accuser, and today (September 6) the singer made an appearance on Good Morning America to proclaim his innocence.

As investigators are working to piece together exactly what happened, Breezy is speaking publicly on the matter.

“My character has been defaced and who I am as a person,” Brown told Good Morning America. “I’m glad that all my real supporters know me and know the truth.”

Breezy is set to be arraigned in two weeks and continues diligently to maintain his innocence. Hopefully following the forthcoming arraignment, the R&B singer will be able to focus on his career and won't see any charges, as the story appears to have some curious holes in it, such as no weapons being found within his $4 million estate.

Check out Brown’s recent comments to ABC News in the clip below.
