Drake’s been donning a lot of different basketball jerseys at shows along his Summer Sixteen Tour.
While in Chicago, he wore a Michael Jordan jersey on-stage. In Philly, he walked out with a Dr. J jersey on. For Los Angeles, it was Kobe. It all seemed to make sense, that is, until his concert at The Forum in Inglewood, California.
Tuesday night (September 27) Drizzy stepped on stage with a — wait for it — Derek Fisher L.A. Lakers jersey on. Uhhh??? No disrespect to DF, but, like, the Lakers’ storied history yields so many more-recognizable alternative choices. Kareem? Magic? Shaq?
Anyway, it may now be more clear as to why the Toronto native chose Fisher’s No. 2 fit. In the caption of his own Instagram post showing him wearing the jersey while performing, Drake wrote, “SOMETIMES IT CAN GET GRIZZLY.”
NOOOO! He couldn’t be. Is he? Could Drake be taking a subliminal shot at former Memphis Grizzlies guard Matt Barnes and the alleged dating rumors between him and Rihanna? That would be the work of a subliminal master.
Derek Fisher and Matt Barnes have a past of problems between each other. Could this be a warning shot from Drake to Barnes? The former Laker, Clipper and Warrior has spent extensive time on the West Coast. It’s a possibility.

I think out of the Matt Barnes/Rihanna/Drake/Derek Fisher situation, Rihanna for sure scares me the most.— BarstoolReags (@BarstoolReags) September 29, 2016
