Considering Solange’s fourth studio album, A Seat at the Table, was freshly released only a couple of days ago (September 30), it technically may be a little too early to call it a "classic" record, but we’re not paying that formality any mind.
As praise continues to pour in left and right for the the project from fans, critics and celebrities alike, a strong case can be made that this project is the singer’s opus and comes at a crucially important time in our culture.
Solange created what fans are calling her best work to date over the course of the past four years, further proving that incredibly special pieces of artwork take time to build and cultivate. The singer’s masterpiece is a collection of 21 songs and is accompanied by a 112-page book, and needless to say, is capturing the attention and hearts of eager listeners everywhere.
With musicians such as Drake and Missy Elliott to actresses such as Taraji P. Henson and Tracee Ellis Ross coming forward to celebrate Solange and her album, it’s without a doubt an album we’re going to be talking about for a long, long time.
