Throughout weeks of being at the center of drama stemming from his recent arrest, Breezy claimed his innocence and said that the gun charge wouldn’t stick, even making t-shirts proclaiming that his accuser was lying. Turns out, the singer may not have been too far off.
As reported, the D.A. currently is not moving forward with the case against Brown.
One source shared that the reason the case is not progressing is due to a lack of evidence assembled by police. The case was originally pushed back two weeks ago for the same reason and now it appears unlikely that a strong case can be made against the singer.
During the intense, day-long standoff outside of the singer’s home in Los Angeles, he took to social media to say that the whole thing was blown extremely out of proportion. He claimed that police wouldn’t find anything in his mansion, and following a search of his residence, that appeared to be the case, with no guns being recovered at the scene. His accuser stated that the singer assaulted her with a weapon while threatening her to leave his home.
As the investigation continued, questionable information began to surface about his accuser, Baylee Curran, such as leaked text messages alleging that she had planned to set up Breezy in the first place.
While the case officially hasn’t been closed, it appears as though that may be what happens next, especially considering the D.A.’s decision to not move forward at this time.
