Not Cool: Desiigner Was Viciously Booed During His Halftime Performance in Philly

They weren't feeling the mic toss.

Desiigner’s performing style is, let’s say… different. Some fans love it, others can do without it.

Unfortunately for the Brooklyn native, the latter was true last night (October 26). At halftime of Wednesday evening’s game between the Philadelphia 76ers and Oklahoma City Thunder, Desiigner came out draped in a Sixers jersey and performed his biggest hits to much dismay.

The crowd booed the Kanye West signee as he quickly learned Philly fans are some of the toughest in America. A local Associated Press writer described the atmosphere and tweeted, “Awful halftime performance by Desiigner. Booed off the court with his jeans down to his ankles & he ripped his shirt off.”

It’s not certain as to why those in attendance had such a rough reception for the rapper. Was it because he’s from Brooklyn? Was it because they were losing at the time? Or did they just not like his music? Who knows? What we do know is that the crowd was already riled up. A fan was removed from the venue earlier in the game after flipping off Russell Westbrook, so there’s that.

Check out a little of what went down during Desiigner’s halftime performance below.
