Did Lil Wayne Try to Keep His Black Lives Matter Comments From Airing?

He also fired his publicist.

Lil Wayne reportedly tried to prevent his Nightline interview, during which he showed complete ignorance of Black Lives Matter, from airing.

That’s what TMZ claims. They say a request from the Louisiana rapper's team was sent to the network, however they never responded to the plea. Weezy would later apologize for the comments he made during the interview he abruptly walked out of.

It’s also reported that in the same plea for a non-airing, Wayne expressed his distaste for how reporter Linsey Davis was asking him questions and believes she crossed the line by asking him questions that were not pre-approved. Good job, Wayne. That’ll make you look better.

SMH. ABC News countered by saying nothing was pre-approved with anyone from Wayne’s team, so any questions were fair game. This apparently made Lil Wayne so angry that he fired all of his publicists. That’s how to be genuinely sorry: blame others.
