Remy Ma is Not Amused By Post-Election Memes: 'This Is Real'

The rapper takes to Instagram to react to Trump's win.

After Donald Trump’s presidential win very early this morning (Nov. 9), Remy Ma had a “cut the s**t” moment.

Social media was in shambles. Some were overjoyed, some distraught and a few just wanted to have fun with memes and light-hearted takes. But the Bronx rapper wasn’t having any jokes and asked her following to consider the seriousness of yesterday’s outcome.

“I'm disgusted...utterly & thoroughly disgusted. I just heard RudyGiuliani [sic] may have a seat with this idiot; if you from NY you remember the Giuliani era...Sad really sad,” she captioned in an Instagram post, which included video of MSNBC host Rachel Maddow pretty distraught herself. “Also, I'm truly disappointed in the people that think this is a joke and are posting & making memes; This is real and if any of the rhetoric that was spewed during the campaigns is able to come to fruition I doubt that you'll be laughing & joking for long.”

Donald Trump is projected to be the 45th President of the United States. He clinched victory after taking key battleground states like Wisconsin and Pennsylvania (which typically vote Democratic). Hillary Clinton currently holds a lead in the popular vote, but it’s only a consolation prize in an outcome few saw coming.
