Kendrick Lamar is currently poised for a chart takeover, with his fourth studio album, DAMN., poised to claim the No. 1 spot.

With the project on track to mark the Compton rapper's third consecutive album to debut at No. 1 and being projected to sell around 475,000 album equivalent units in its first week of release, Wale is making it known that he's not surprised at all that Kung Fu Kenny is experiencing such a level of success.

During an interview with RevoltTV, the D.C. rapper made the not-so-surprising claim that Lamar is in his "top five favorite rappers of all time."

While Wale has praised his own lyrical talent, such as on his track "Groundhog Day," where he places himself in that coveted top five, he's also making it known how Lamar is not only inspiring him but is influencing the culture at large.

"Kendrick one of the top five rappers of all time," Wale shared with Revolt. "As far as executing rap rhymes and telling a story, he's one of the top five rappers of all time."

Such a realness cannot be questioned, after all.

In addition to singing Lamar's praises, Wale also had kind words for the CEO of Top Dawg Entertainment, Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith.

"Top is just getting started," the rapper added. "You don't even know what he gon' do. If he feel like 'I wanna do movies,' he powerful enough and he got the streets [...] three years from now we're gonna be talking about Top Dawg on some other s**t."
