And just like that, Lifetime's Michael Jackson biopic no one asked for has come and gone.  

On Monday (May 29), the controversial and unauthorized Michael Jackson: Searching for Neverland aired to much criticism. Nowhere near impressed, audiences virally condemned the network's fail of narrating the late King of Pop's final years during the two-hour premiere. 

Per usual, Twitter was set ablaze with rant-like tweets and comical GIFs to make the disastrous movie somewhat pleasurable.

"Lifetime wrong as hell for this Michael Jackson movie," tweeted one viewer. "Lifetime need they ass whooped! Don't make another Michael Jackson or any legend biopic!" another fumed. 

Well, there you have it. After the backlash Aaliyah: Princess of R&B and Britney Ever After garnered, social media collectively agreed that Lifetime has handed themselves another "L."
