Jay Z’s a man of vacationing if he’s not on his business or music grind.
That may be why he ended up in Jamaica this weekend, or, maybe he had another plan…
From video posted on social media, the Brooklyn emcee linked up with Damian Marley. Could a collaboration be in the works? According to Dancehall HipHop, sources say Hov landed in Kingston late Thursday and spent Friday mingling with some of the locals.
Subsequently, he went to Tuff Gong studio to work on new music and then met other local artists such as Vanessa Bling, Junior Reid, Ziggy Marley, Tarrus Riley and Sister Nancy.
“He [Jay Z] was very down to earth and stopped to take pictures with fans and signed autographs,” the source said. “Hov is a legend here in Jamaica so almost everyone came out to see him all the big local names and a lot of local fans.”
Rumors of a new Jay Z album have been swirling for the last few months, culminating with the mysterious 4:44 advertisements draped all over the web and New York City. That may’ve been for something else, but still, new Hov, even if it’s a false alarm is big news.
