Chief Keef Reportedly Arrested on Drug Charges in South Dakota

Sources say he was stopped and arrested at an airport.

Chief Keef’s legal fumbles are becoming worse with each passing month in 2017 it seems.

After an assault charge in January and a DUI violation in April, the Chicago rap star has found himself entangled in the law’s crosshairs again with a drug charge on Monday (June 12), TMZ reports.

The “I Don’t Like” rapper was reportedly found with weed and paraphernalia in his possession before boarding his flight in South Dakota. Authorities discovered four blunts and an edible infused with 200 mg of THC in his backpack, TMZ points out. Sources also claimed he had over an ounce of the substance on him and was consequently arrested and booked on the spot. His charges include the possession of marijuana and paraphernalia, the site adds.

Why he would attempt to make his way through a TSA-secured facility with weed on him is still a mystery, but other sources reportedly shared that he forgot he had the items on him.

As the 21-year-old awaits his arraignment in jail, TMZ concluded, his attorney team has already started working up his legal defense.
