Essence’s annual whirlwind of music performances and appearances arrived this month at the 2017 Essence Festival in New Orleans, and fans were itching to get their eyes on sets such as that from Master P’s No Limit Records.
With tokened talents such as Mia X, Mystikal, Master P himself and his industry executive and rap artist son Romeo Miller, fans dangerously anticipated what the onstage reunion would have in store. However, what fans thought would be a Sunday night (July 2) full of glorious nostalgia with smash hits like “Make ‘Em Say Uhh,” unfortunately ended with fans cringing in utter disappointment. Many pointed out Mia X, Mystikal and Snoop Dogg’s performances as the saviors of what fans deemed a No Limit Records stage fiasco. Others, however, felt it was time for everyone to pack it in for the night and throw the entire set into the Essence Fest unmentionables pile.

@Essence don't book no limit anymore; only Mia X.

Woke up thinking how wild that No Limit reunion was. And wild as in...a lot to unpack. Lovely seeing the old folks, though.

Xscape should've been on the main stage instead of this damn 2 hour No Limit reunion. I'm vexed.
