The month of July has been a scandalous one to say the least. From R. Kelly's alleged "sex cult" and Usher's questionable lyrics on "Let It Burn" to Rob Kardashian sharing Blac Chyna's goodies with the internet, celebrities have left no stone unturned at this point. And Twitter users are convinced that Kanye West's "Gold Digger" prophesied these mishaps over 10 years ago.
The 2005 hit single, featuring Jamie Foxx, details Yeezy's encounter with an opportunistic woman who has a taste for the lavish life. According to the Twitterverse, the lyrics are very telling about Hollywood's most recent scandals and, after further review, they just may have a point. Take a look at some fan theories below.
On Monday (July 17), the "12 Play" singer was accused of holding several young women captive in what has been described as a "sex cult." The initial report released by BuzzFeed shed light on Kelly's bizarre trysts in which he is sexually, verbally and psychologically abusive.
Twitter believes the following "Gold Digger" lyrics correspond to Kelly's mind-blowing situation:
“OK, get your kids but then they got their friends / I pulled up in the Benz, they all got up in.”
Earlier this month, the youngest member of the Kardashian family went on a social media tirade against his on-again, off-again girlfriend Blac Chyna. Taking to Instagram, Rob posted nude photos of his ex after accusing her of cheating on him and put her on blast for undergoing plastic surgery following the birth of their daughter, which he fronted the $10,000 bill for.
The lyrics which best reflect Rob's situation are so fitting, it's almost as if Ye could foresee his future:
“She got one of your kids, got you for 18 years / His baby mamma car and crib is bigger than his /... She went to the doctor, got lipo with your money.”
Reports of Kevin Hart cheating on his pregnant wife, Eniko, hit the internet on Wednesday (July 19) after Radar Online posted photos of the comedian with a mystery woman. While the Central Intelligence actor has denied the accusations, the accompanying footage has fans a bit suspicious.
The corresponding lyrics are as follows:
“So, stick by his side / I know this dude’s balling but yeah that’s nice / And they gone keep calling and trying, but you stay right girl / And when he get on, he leave your ass for a white girl.”
If there's any celeb we didn't expect making headlines for such outrageous claims, it would be Usher. The "Confessions" singer came under fire after a woman came forward accusing him of giving her herpes back in 2012. The woman claims that Usher didn't reveal his status during the time of their affair and quietly settled the lawsuit by shelling out $1.1 million.
Ye even name dropped Usher on the "Gold Digger," but, we're sure he didn't imagine this was coming.
“My best friend says she use to f**k with Usher… I don’t care what none of y’all say, I still love her.”
