This R. Kelly situation just keeps getting more and more bizarre.
Despite push back from Jocelyn Savage – one of Kelly’s alleged captives who claims she isn't being held hostage – her family is still fighting to pull her out of the dark side. Jocelyn’s father, Timothy Savage, recently came forward again to share more details about how his daughter got mixed up with the R&B singer in the first place and their twisted relationship. And for the public to understand the magnitude of Kelly’s hold on his child, he compared their relationship to slavery.
During a brief interview with TMZ, Savage, his wife, and youngest daughter spoke about the alleged abuse their daughter and others have endured. “Some of these girls he met when they were 17. Some of these things we’re talking about, it’s not about sexual. You know, you can have a relationship with anybody when they can get of age. But it’s the abuse that we’re talking about. It’s almost like slavery, and nobody can allow women to be going through what they’re going through, especially our daughter. We have been experiencing this firsthand,” Savage, who hasn’t seen his daughter since Dec. 2016, told the publication.
Savage also addressed the rumors that he initially instigated the bond between Kelly and Jocelyn by sending her to live with the singer. The rumor was first planted by Jocelyn during a video message sent to TMZ. “That never happened. Not one time. Not one time, I said anything about this,” he said.
As for what’s next in the family’s fight to get justice against Kelly, they have said the police are still looking into the case. “As of right now, to the best of our knowledge, they are still on the case,” he added. “We can’t discuss everything. And to the video that you have, it shows some of the things that’s going on.” The police investigation may have reached some road blocks in the past couple of days however. Besides the fact that all of the women allegedly living in Kelly’s guest homes are of legal age, it’s been hard to prove they are being held against their will. Jocelyn has now released three videos saying that she is not a victim or a captive and would like both the public and her family to leave her alone.
Kelly has maintained his innocence, but more women who have allegedly been part of his sex "cult" have come forward to share their stories. It’s most likely going to get a whole lot worse before it gets any better.
