Drake’s triceps tribute to his Young Money superior and mentor Lil Wayne was, at the very least, shocking for fans, despite the other two artists inked permanently on his skin.
But if there was anyone whose jaw dropped at Drizzy’s new tattoo, it was Weezy himself, who TMZ reports actually found out about it five months ago.
According to the site, the OVO champ got inked while overseas with the portrait tattoo of Wayne. Once it was complete, Drizzy took a photo and sent it over to Wayne for his seal of approval. Fortunately, TMZ adds, Weezy was completely honored by Drizzy’s permanent praise for him.
Weezy joins the faces of R&B and neo-soul icon Sade Adu and the adored late R&B songstress Aaliyah on Drizzy’s body canvas. As an artist who draws influence from a bevy of different genres, artists and sounds, the 30-year-old wants to make sure those musical impacts are literally drawn onto the rest of his career and apparently the rest of his life as well.
