Diddy Gave Black Women a Shout Out on Twitter and Now White Women Are Big Mad

Take that. Take that.

Published July 28, 2017

Another day, another Diddy tweet breaking the internet. The Bad Boy Records exec's Twitter fingers landed him in the middle of controversy this week and the backlash is quite hilarious, to say the least.

On Thursday (July 27), the music mogul shared his love and appreciation for Black women with the Twitterverse in a simple, one-line tweet, which read: "Shoutout to black women just because..." While the unexpected shout out was in good intention, Diddy clearly had no idea how embracing Black women could make him a target amongst the "All Lives Matter" crowd.

  1. The shout-out instantly went viral, with Black men and women sharing their appreciation for the mogul
  2. While Diddy's celebratory tweet was met with praise from some of his followers, some Twitter users (read: white women) simply could not keep scrolling; Take a look at the eye-roll worthy tweets below:
  3. To which Black Twitter, of course, had to school them on the very important lesson of white privilege
  4. If anybody's got Diddy's back, it's clearly the Twitterverse.
