YG Refused to Exit Car After Being Stopped by Police, Feared Being Harmed
Over the past year, YG has been vocal about police brutality as well as his distrust of law enforcement. And, as the universe would have it, the "YNS" rapper recently found himself at the center of a tense situation involving the same organization he feverishly denounces in his music.
According to TMZ, the Compton native was stopped by police on Wednesday (Aug. 9) when officers noticed the dark tint on his lavish Maybach. YG reportedly refused to exit his car when asked to step out by law enforcement officials out of fear that he would be harmed in the process. Things took even more of a left turn when police asked for the rapper's license and registration.
When asked to show his credentials, YG allegedly responded with a simple "no," which ultimately led to a reported standoff. Eventually, the rapper exited his vehicle after more squad cars approached the scene and informed officers that he in fact didn't have ID.
From there, YG was cited for riding with illegal tint, not having a license and driving without license plates. The "One Time Comin" rapper has yet to address the tense situation on his social accounts or with the media.
