Here Are The Shots Taylor Swift Took At Kanye West On Her New Single

"I don't like your little games."

The Kanye West and Taylor Swift saga has had many twists and turns since its inception. But as of last night (Aug. 24), the pop star has broken her silence to clarify exactly where they stand in light of their controversial past.

On Thursday, the 27-year-old singer unveiled a new song, titled "Look What You Made Me Do," that very plainly takes shots at Kanye as well as his wife, Kim Kardashian. The first verse of the dance record sounds tailor-made for the Chicago rapper, especially these lines: "I don't like your little games // Don't like your tilted stage // The role you made me play // Of the fool, no, I don't like you."

Notably, the most striking line is "The role you made me play of the fool." As you may recall Taylor and Ye's strained relationship took a turn for the worse last year following the release of his song "Famous." The 2016 effort included the lyrics: "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex // Why? I made that b*tch famous."

Taylor took offense to the lyric saying that she was blindsided by The Life of Pablo track. However, Kanye maintained he called her to approve prior to the song's release. Further speculation circulated after Kim shared footage of Taylor consenting to the lyric via a phone call with her husband, though the "b*tch" part was allegedly never played for her.

Following the release of the secret recording, fans and others alike were swayed to take Kim and Kanye's side with many painting Taylor as a snake. In light of the controversy, the pop star took a break from the public eye after announcing, "I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative, one that I have never asked to be a part of."

Over a year later, it seems as though Taylor is coming for blood. Taking a closer look at the hook of "Look What You Made Me Do," the singer is letting her grievances be known with lines like: "Honey, I rose up from the dead, I do it all the time // I've got a list of names and yours is in red, underlined." Moving along to the break, Taylor calls out Kim for leaking the phone call with the following lyrics: "I'm sorry, the old Taylor can't come to the phone right now. Why? Oh, 'cause she's dead!"

But, perhaps the most bizarre aspect of this entire ordeal is that Taylor is slated to drop her album on Nov. 10 ― the tenth anniversary of the death of Kanye's mother. Coincidence or intentional, only time will tell.

In the meantime, check out a clip from the video for "Look What You Made Me Do" set to premiere on Sunday at the VMAs.
