Waka Flocka To Producers And DJs With Albums: 'Stick to Your F**king Profession!'

Well, this probably won't go over well.

Waka Flocka has never shied away from a hot topic. So when it came to the discussion about whether producers and DJs in the game should drop their own projects, the rapper didn’t hold back from adding his two cents. In a live video the “Hard In The Paint” rapper posted on social media, he suggested producers and DJs should stay in their lane behind the scenes.

Flame claims the southern-based beat makers shouldn’t be releasing albums, on the account that they’re not actually rappers or entertainers. “N***a, you’re not a rapper,” Waka declared. “You’re not an artist. Stick to your f**king profession, man. F**k!” In addition to taking aim at producers, Waka also fired shots at rappers and artists claiming to be gang-affiliated when they’re not.

It’s likely that Waka’s comments won’t go over well in the community, considering a number of producers and DJs have released albums. Notably, DJ Khaled recently went platinum for his No. 1 project, Grateful. Calvin Harris also received great reviews for his compilation album, Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1. Additionally, Mike Will Made It and Metro Boomin’ have released projects in the past.

As for Waka Flocka, he is prepping for Flockaveli 2, which is expected to drop on Oct. 5.
