Solange To Host Hurricane Harvey Benefit Concert

She found a special way to show love to her hometown.

Houston, Texas native Solange took to social media announcing various Hurricane Harvey relief efforts she’s slated to host.

First up, she revealed that all of the proceeds from her Orion’s Rise concert in Boston on September 28 will go directly towards Harvey relief. “I'm committed to partnering with organizations on the ground in Houston and making contributions to uplift the city that raised me with so much love,” she wrote.

Next up, Solo revealed that she’d added an additional show at New York’s own Radio City Music Hall and gave a nod to her hometown of Houston’s third ward revealing that $3 from each ticket sale will be donated to  gave a nod to her hometown of Houston’s third ward revealing that “$3 from every ticket sale will go directly to Hurricane Harvey relief in the area.”

The Grammy award winning singer now joins the ranks of celebrities working to provide assistance to those impacted by the devastating storm that has resulted in 30 deaths and left tens of thousands Texas and Louisiana residents displaced.
