T.I. is not here for the Nas slander. After Lakers player Lonzo Ball riled up the hip-hop community with claims about the Illmatic artist not being “real hip-hop," T.I. hopped on Twitter to personally deliver Lonzo his metaphorical seat.
“My Boi u reaching like a muuuuf**ka!!! Lakers might f**k around & piss test you behind this one cuzz @Nas Whattup wit Bruh? #LegendsNeverDie,” Tip tweeted on Sept. 2.
T.I. wasn’t the only one who had some words for the 19-year-old either. Lil B spoke out against Ball, threatening to put his infamous NBA curse on him if he didn’t stop the madness. “Lonzo ball is a few seconds away from being cursed his rookie year on the lakers, nas is hip hop and always relevant, watch ur team," Lil B wrote. “Didn’t the Lakers just trade a snitch Deanglo Russell? Lakers front office what’s y’all problem? Step ur PGs up. Lonzo watch your mouth.”
While fans aren’t convinced Lonzo deserves their forgiveness just yet, his comments weren’t all bad. In addition to talking about Nas on the season opener of Ball in the Family, Ball also gave props to Future and Migos, saying that they were the true champions of the culture.
Nas and Future’s manager, Anthony Saleh, previously addressed Ball on Twitter as well, thanking him for the Future support. But as far as Nas goes, Saleh suggested Ball keep the New York legend’s name out of his mouth.
