The tragic shooting death that claimed the life of father, friend and OVO affiliate Fif, real name Anthony Soares, devastated his closest loved ones and the entire OVO family, namely Drake.

Details of his death previously remained undisclosed from Drizzy’s heartfelt message to him via Instagram. Now, however, the most graphic of those details are being pushed to the public forefront after Toronto law officials have released a video of the brutal gun attack.

As reported by TMZ, Soares was murdered by two men while in the lobby of his Toronto apartment.

The video released by investigators clearly shows him standing idly with a cup in his hand before two men rush to the door violently spraying bullets through the vestibule’s glass windows and door. Soares’ body is blurred out in the video as he falls to the ground near the door. One of the suspects continues to fire close-range shots and wipe his fingerprints from the door while the other runs off to a white getaway vehicle. Afterward, the remaining shooter follows him and the car, which police identified as a white Ford Fusion, pulls off into the night. It is not clear how many times Fif was shot, but CBC News adds that the 33-year-old was rushed to the hospital, where he died after undergoing emergency surgery.

The men appear to both wear hoodies pulled tightly over their heads to conceal their identities as well, hence why Toronto Det.-Sgt. Gary Giroux has called upon the public in an attempt to determine who the men are.

“Certainly, it was very targeted,” Giroux said of the shooting. “It was very focused. Certainly, it was overkill.”

Investigators reportedly also informed his family that they would be releasing the video for full intent and purposes of the investigation and the image of his body is blurred after shots were fired out of respect. sends our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Anthony Soares during this time.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Det.-Sgt. Giroux at 416-808-7400 ext. 7-7387.
