Here's How Jay-Z And Kanye West Are Reportedly Planning To Settle Their Beef

One step forward.

It looks like we’re getting one step closer to seeing Jay-Z and Kanye West mending their broken friendship. After rumors initially sparked that the two were open to the idea of rekindling their brotherhood, new reports suggest the two have already begun planning a face-to-face meeting.

While the “brothers” have a lot to work through, the potential meeting is reportedly to discuss their ongoing dispute over Tidal, TMZ reports. As previously reported, Kanye has alleged that Jay’s streaming company owes him $3.5 million in unpaid advances and bonuses. This dispute reportedly put the first strain on their relationship, but it wasn’t until now that they’ve been willing to sit down and hash it out.

The Tidal suit is only a small portion of Jay and Ye’s beef, however. Tensions continued to grow after Kanye ranted about Hov and his family during a stop on his 2016 Saint Pablo Tour.

In a recent interview with the Rap Radar Podcast, Jay-Z addressed the problem, stating that the “Famous” rapper went too far by bring his family into the discussion. “Now it’s a problem with me,” he stated at the time. If or when the two sit down and discuss the Tidal dispute, hopefully this will be the first step of many in repairing their relationship.
