Tyrese seriously tried to destroy Yung Joc on Instagram after coming across a picture of the “It’s Going Down” rapper with an eccentric hairstyle allegedly Photoshopped on his head. Tyrese went so far as to question Joc’s position in the hip-hop community. Now Joc has something to say to the singer.
To say the least, it seems like Joc is disappointed. “I thought more of you bro with all your success, accolades and accomplishments,” he stated in a short Instagram video on Oct. 17. Even with his disappointment however, the Love & Hip Hop ATL star still managed to fire off a couple of shots. “From one Black man to another, I don’t think you had to take shots at me to promote your album, man,” he added. “I think you too successful where you should just [be] promoting yourself, man.”
And as far as Tyrese questioning Joc’s role in hip-hop, he answered that question too. “I am hip-hop,” he declared. “I’m involved in so many ways from doing TV to radio. So I’m going to pray for you. You got to get it together.”
The beef didn’t end with Joc’s comments though. Tyrese decided to hop back in the ring to deliver his final blow. “Stop it man. The culture deserves better… Using you to promote my album wouldn’t promote my album,” he wrote on Instagram, adding the hashtag #HipHopDeservesTheBeUpheld.” He also sent his well wishes to late icons Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac, who he claimed were real legends in the game.
This war between Yung Joc and Tyrese has seemed to go far enough. Let's hope both of them give it a rest.
