Controversial rapper XXXTentacion says he’s hanging up the mic.

On Friday (October 27), in his Instagram Story, he announced that he's done making music and claimed he was being “abused” by people who “hate” him.

"I am tired of being mentally abused for trying to help people, I am tired of the hate, I'm done," he wrote.

The announcement comes as a bit of a surprise considering he just inked a $6 million deal with Capitol Records/Caroline earlier this week. Additionally, he described Capitol employees as “wonderful people.”

X’s album 17, landed No. 2 on the Billboard 200 charts during its opening week, however he’s received about as much praise for his music as criticism for his out-of-the-studio actions.

In December, the rapper born Jahseh Onfroy will go to trial for a domestic abuse case which involves a pregnant woman who’s accusing the South Florida native of attacking her. Last week, his temper was on display during a heated scuffle with a fan at Rolling Loud Festival.
