Tank On His #FreeMeek Stance: 'We're Allowed To Feel That Way'

The R&B crooner doubles down on his support of the troubled Dreamchasers rapper.

In the wake of being slammed with a two- to four-year jail sentence, Meek Mill has been swarmed with a flurry of support ― namely from R&B crooner Tank

The "When We" singer recently came under fire after defending the rapper from the wrath of criticism being spewed on social media following the news of Meek's legal woes.

As previously reported, Eva Marcille took to Instagram on Tuesday (Nov. 8) to share her perspective on the Wins & Losses rapper's troubling ordeal. After catching wind of the post, Tank responded by advising the model-turned-actress that her criticism of Meek's fans was not the proper route.

In spite of his cordial approach, Tank's comments left many of his fans bewildered, leading him to clarify his initial statement. Early Wednesday afternoon (Nov. 8), the R&B singer doubled down on his support of the Philly rapper in an Instagram video. "Let me clear this up, Free Meek," Tank begins the short clip. "We're allowed to feel that way. We're allowed to post that."

"We don't understand the nuances of this case," he continues. "All I can say is I don't want the brother to do time. We're allowed to feel that way."

In the days since Meek's sentencing, several other celebrities have rallied behind the artist including Jay-Z, who addressed the injustices of the legal system during a recent tour stop in Dallas.

Take a look at Tank's full remarks below.
