Bars: Watch Iman Shumpert Go Insane On His Hot 97 Freestyle

He killed it.

Iman Shumpert may do damage on the basketball court, but he gets down in the studio as well. The Cleveland Cavaliers star stopped by Hot 97 to chop it up with Funkmaster Flex and spit a few bars on a freestyle.

As the beat drops, Shumpert goes in, rapping about his hoops career, his home life with wife Teyana Taylor and his infant daughter and his skills on the mic. "They got my head spinning like Melo off the jab with the left hand / They treat me like a stepson like no sweat on my headband / They ain’t spilled blood when it mattered / They still fibbing on the cameras like I'm supposed to have manners," he raps.

Shumpert has been dabbling in the rap game since 2012, with his single “Knick Anthem” and the mixtape Th3 #Post90s. He also released the track “Dear Kendrick,” which was a response to K.Dot’s murderous verse on “Control.” During an interview on Everyday Struggle earlier this year, Shumpert also revealed that he is working on an album.
