LOL: Please See What Happened (This Time) When Paparazzi Caught Beyoncé And Jay-Z On An Elevator

Sans Solange.

Published December 5th

Jay-Z received a lot of love on Monday (December 4) in celebration of his 48th birthday from fans, family, fellow industrymates, and, needless to say, his global megasongstress wifey, Beyoncé.

And it was the paparazzi who received, and captured, one of the most epic nostalgic moments from the Carters when Hov and Bey were spotted together on an elevator that’s throwing us all back about three years.

The power couple made their way to Angelika Film Center & Cafe to celebrate Hov’s birthday, and left the venue in none other than an elevator.

To those unfamiliar with the Carters’ elevator history, this particular moment of irony connects back to the infamous 2014 incident where R&B soulstress and Bey’s little sis, Solange went ballistic on Jay in an elevator at the 2014 Met Gala. Audio-less security footage leaked of the altercation showing Solo kicking, punching, and reportedly spitting on Jay while the guard held her back, Bey kept herself out of it and Jay attempted to block her blows. He also addresses the family feud by way of the deeply introspective first track of his grand studio opus 4:44: “Kill Jay Z.”

Three years later, however, Bey and Jay are all smiles as they allow paparazzi to snap photos of their exit from the elevator to the ground floor. In fact, when Jay spots the photogs, he invites them to get their flicks in before they miss their chance.

“Hurry up! Come get it!” he urges them as he holds the elevator door open.

All irony aside, Jay did the paps a solid. After all, it’s not every day that they get to capture a billion dollars on an elevator — word to Queen Bey.

See the 2017 Bonnie and Clyde, a.k.a. the Carters, strike their new-and-improved elevator pose below.
