After a smashing No. 1 hit, a marriage proposal and two Grammy nominations, it goes without saying that Cardi B is on top of the world in 2017, and she’s loving every bit of it.
When she took on a new height at Miami’s LIV Nightclub, however, she hilariously discovered the true essence of how lonely — and scary — it is at the top.
In a video of her performance at the popular venue, Cardi stood on the heightened platform stage among the crowd to perform her No. 1 classic, “Bodak Yellow,” and her respective verses on G-Eazy’s “No Limit” and Migos’ “MotorSport.” Beforehand, however, she let the crowd know about how her “gangsta” was being tested for the night.
“Let me tell you something,” she addresses to the fans. “I’m a motherf**king gangsta, but I’m afraid of heights. So, I’m gonna have this big motherf**ker holding my hand because I’m scared.”
And that he did, as Cardi held on to the super-sized security guard her entire performance without barely moving an inch. Considering how narrow the stage also appeared to be and how high her heels were, we completely understand her concerns.
No bloody moves for her from way up there — literally.
