Ciara Posted This Video About Unmarried Women And The Internet Is Going Blow For Blow

Her rap star ex-fiancé, Future, seems to have jumped in on the madness as well.

R&B songstress Ciara jumped into the holy spirit on Sunday (January 21) with a message for all the ladies out there seeking a wedding ring, delivered courtesy of Pastor John Gray on her Instagram.

“#LevelUp,” she wrote in the caption of the pastor’s video, who humorously exclaimed his thoughts on what it takes to walk in the spirit of a wife versus that of a girlfriend. “Don’t settle.”

Unfortunately, the message didn’t go over so well with some of her fans, who accused her of self-righteousness while digging up her past love life before her marriage to Seattle Seahawks star quarterback Russell Wilson. Those who received the message as it was intended, however, are lining up in CiCi’s defense (including their stand against a suspected sub-shot from her ex-fiancé, Future) commencing 2018's second all-out internet war in only the first month of the year.

  1. Ciara's message spoke to women who currently hold the title of 'girlfriend,' but would like to 'level up' to wifey status...

  2. But after a few agitated fans called a problematic play on the post, she responded with an explanation of the intent behind her message

  3. And now, Twitter is in the middle of a merciless tug of war because of it...

  4. Future didn't miss an opportunity to throw in his two cents, either, as fans suspected from his mysterious tweet amid Ciara's backlash

  5. Not to worry, though, because CiCi's defensive line took care of that, too...
