Kendrick Lamar just killed his opening performance at the Grammys, and the Internet can barely contain themselves. The rapper, who is nominated for seven Grammy Awards, delivered a visually stimulating performance that touched on our current political and social climate.

The performance opened with Kendrick surrounded by an army of decorated soldiers in front of a backdrop of the American flag. As Kendrick delivered his single, “XXX” featuring U2, the soldiers synchronized dance moves. Dave Chappelle served as a narrator, who added short, comical blurbs, which led to Lamar performing his his hit single, “DNA.” with a live drummer. The performance concluded with a number of dancers dressed in red outfits, symbolically being shot down, one by one.

The Internet has a lot of thoughts about this performance. Many of them are still trying to pick their jaws  up off the floor. Check them out below!
