Jaden Smith hit a huge milestone in his music career. The 19-year-old reportedly hit 100 million streams on Spotify with his debut studio album, SYRE.
To celebrate the latest accomplishment, Jaden’s dad and Hollywood A-lister, Will Smith, shared a hilarious video trolling one of his son’s videos. And of course, just like everything Will Smith puts on social media, it was priceless!
The actor commemorated the moment by recreating the Jaden’s music video for “Icon.” If you haven’t seen the original video, it basically captures Jaden rocking trill clothing while rapping in front of brand new car and a beautiful sunset.
In the new video, Smith mimicked his son’s swag but added his own flare to it. The parody starts off similarly, with Smith hopping out of his own whip and showing off his new grills. As he raps the words to Jaden's single, he flaunts his two-step in a pair of black slippers. “Congrats on 100,00,000 @Spotify streams, Jaden! It’s a delicious gift to parents to admire his children. Keep Doin’ You,” Will wrote in the caption of his video.
What might be a complete embarrassment to other kids however, seemed to be a great moment for Jaden. “Dad this is the funniest thing I’ve ever seen in my life,” Jaden wrote. “You’re the best father anyone could ask for. Thank you for allowing me to express myself even when I take it too far sometimes. I love you more than you will ever know…”
