Prayer's Up: Platinum-Selling Producer Ensayne Wayne Shot And Killed In Atlanta

He was the brother of producer Drumma Boy and frequently worked with Lil Wayne.

Platinum-selling producer Ensayne Wayne reportedly was killed on Feb. 10, according to Fox5 Atlanta. The producer, who was the brother of veteran producer Drumma Boy, was reportedly shot and killed outside of an Atlanta clothing store.

Wayne, whose real name is Ferrell Miles, was reportedly nearby House of Fresh – Drumma Boy’s clothing store on a popular street in Atlanta – when he was reportedly shot in the chest multiple times. Wayne was rushed to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Atlanta Police Lieutenant Carven Tyus claimed the shooting was the result of a previous disagreement. "The victim and the suspect produced weapons and the victim was shot as a result of that altercation," Lt. Tyus said in an official statement.

At the time of his death, Ensayne Wayne was considered a veteran in the industry. He most notably worked with Lil Wayne, Plies, and assisted with the production of T-Pain’s 2008 track “Shawty.”

Following news of his passing, Drumma Boy and other hip-hop producers and artists posted messages on social media. "I lost the first person I ever looked up too in life," Drumma Boy said in the post on Instagram. "The first person I ever wanted to be like... My BIG blood-brother... 💉 My dad showed me the fundamentals of music & music theory, but my brother introduced me to making beats.”
