One New Orleans girl almost got run over by a car as she tried to cross the street while snapping a selfie on her phone. And she would’ve been road kill, if it weren’t for Waka Flocka who saved her life.

According to footage obtained by TMZ, Waka Flocka was walking with a with a mob of fans to Mardi Gras festivities on Bourbon Street when the incident occurred. In the video, you can see a young girl walking side-by-side with Waka while holding up her phone to take a photo. As they begin to step out into the street however, a car zips past leaving a cloud of smoke behind. The girl would’ve gotten hit, but Waka quickly yanked her up and moved her out of the way. Onlookers behind them screamed in relief that Waka was able to save her in time.

As it appears in the footage, although the car was going exceptionally fast down a regular street, it did have the green light. So the girl would’ve most likely been in the wrong.
