Jay-Z & Drake, Or Nas & Cole?: The Internet Debates

There's some pretty solid arguments here.

Rap’s ruthless game of bar-eat-bar has pitted the most loyal, and sometimes conflicting, of fan bases against each other.

Hip-hop OG icons Jay-Z and Nas and their prodigious successors Drake and J. Cole now enter the internet’s hip-hop head battle grounds with one, simple question: hypothetically, who would make the better collabo album—Hov and Drizzy or Escobar and Cole?

For starters, we’ve seen at least two of the four pair up for sound genius with Hov and Cole’s “A Star Is Born” and “Mr. Nice Watch.” The Dreamville founder has proudly dubbed himself a student of the Illmatic emcee’s while fans have marked his Roc Nation position as one of Hov’s prodigy status. Drizzy, who follows in Lil Wayne’s Young Money footsteps, has taken his admiration for those who paved the way before him to a more permanent status than a musical one.

And while both men could match up beside pretty much any artist and deliver on-wax excellence, the question of which collaboration with a seasoned rap expert becomes an entirely different matter.

Alas, let the Hov and Drake versus Nas and Cole debate commence below.
