Mary J. Blige Took The Entire Damn Academy Awards To Church With Her Emotional Performance Of ‘Mighty River’

The ‘Mudbound’ star is up for two Oscars this year.

Mary J. Blige STILL has the pipes and just turned The Oscars into a Sunday service in a Mississippi baptist church.

  1. Blige, who is up for two Oscars herself for Mudbound, annihilated her performance the film’s song “Mighty River.”

    Taraji P. Henson, hot off her complete shading of Ryan Seacrest, introduced the singer who effortlessly cranked out some super emotional lyrics.

    The choir in the background also put the cherry on the cake.

  3. Acting-wise, the 47-year-old megatalent is nominated for Best Supporting Actress for Mudbound. She’s the first person to be nominated for Supporting Actress and Original Song in the same year.
