In a double whammy that all of the Bardi Gang is delighting in, Bronx rap star Cardi B unleashed “Drip,” another single born from her Invasion of Privacy debut album due in less than 48 hours (April 6).
The trap slapper is right up Migos’ alley, who throw down bars on the verses following Cardi’s. Following the cautionary, lyric-focused “Be Careful,” released over the weekend, Cardi matches her fiancé Offset’s “Ric Flair Drip” fly and flexes more Bardi braggadocio that we’ve come to know, love and now see from “Bartier Cardi.”
“Drip” is certainly doing its job by raising the stakes even higher on Cardi’s debut project. But in another divisive social media uproar, some folks are raising the volume on another Cardi banger while others are raising a fuss about what they’ve deemed lackluster performance so close to her album release.
