Hip-hop’s crush on the porn industry is anything but covert, as vaunted in lyricism, music videos and even song titles.

Therefore, it should come as no surprise that Brooklyn rap star Young M.A. has dusted off a director’s chair for PornHub’s new girls-only flick titled The Gift.

The film is available now as a premium video on the 18 and over site, but the Herstory rapper, who is an openly gay emcee in hip-hop, has her full narrative skills on display in a behind-the-scenes video of the erotic production.

“It's about a girl, a virgin," M.A. explains of of the storyline. "It's her birthday and a friend kind of, like, sends her off to this place where she's mysteriously walking through different rooms and stuff and finding out, you know, paradise."

M.A. also said that she didn’t want to put any particular labels on the film, but specified it as “girls only.” The talent roster also interestingly includes ladies of the adult film world whose names end in “A,” such as Gina Valentina, Jenna Sativa, Shyla Jennings, Elena Koshka and Anya Ivy. The behind-the-scenes video is also introduced and hosted by Asa Akira, professionally known as the “anal queen.”

Another fascinating fun fact is that Young M.A.’s director role comes as part of a new series called The Visionaries Directors’ Club, which is also accessible via a premium PornHub subscription. The subscription is a paid service as well, unless you live in cities with mind-in-the-gutter names like Cumming, Georgia, Climax, Michigan or Fort Dick, California. The “Ooouuu” rapper handpicked the talent list for the film, and also shared some personal tidbits about her lady preferences.

“I don't like no girl who is too calm, too chill, too nice,” she explains. “I like girls that get crazy. That turns me on for some reason, I don't know! It turns me on. You can't be regular. That regular, it just don't do nothin' for me.”

For the sake of safe-for-work footage, we’ll let you check out the clean version of The Gift and the non-explicit version of Young M.A.’s director duties in the videos below.
