Meek Mill Told Kanye West Something That Will Have You Singing Praises

Someone should have told Yeezy this a long time ago.

Kanye West’s disgraced rhetoric on Donald Trump and slavery brought forth stances from a significant number of his industry mates, including Common, Eve, Snoop Dogg, and more.

For Philly rap star Meek Mill, who has also placed himself at the forefront of socio-politcal conversations amid his recent incarceration, Yeezy’s controversy all comes down to one, simple proverb: think before you speak.

Before taking the mic for his speech at New York’s Innocence Project gala, the MMG artist stopped to talk with CNN about a few topics, including ‘Ye’s controversy. Meek revealed that he’d actually spoken to Kanye himself, and gave him some advice that’s much-needed and well overdue for the GOOD Music leader.

I talked to him myself,” Meek recalled of his conversation with ‘Ye. “Just before you speak, think 10 times before you speak and make sure you’re educated about the things you’re speaking on…”

He went on to explain that he believes Kanye means well, and suggests The Life of Saint Pablo artist might need to slow down a bit.

“I think he mean well, but things just might be getting out of control,” he concluded. “Sometimes, I talk to fast myself, so who am I to judge?”

Hopefully, Meek’s advice was well-received by the Chicago emcee.
