The good news (according to their presumably joking Twitter spat) is that both men plan to settle it—but, off the keyboard.
The MMG rap artist took to Twitter with a simple question for the former New Jersey emcee.
“Why u won’t just fight me? @JoeBudden,” he tweeted at Joey. “If we can rumble I’ll do your show.”
Joe responded with a reason and a warning all in one, asserting that he’d do some damage if things ever got to that point. Wale’s confident of the contrary, though, clapping back, “I’ll crush u lil joe.” Consider it tough love, he concluded.
“Bet…we’ll walk around the corner next time I see you…then you do my podcast & share the result…& I love you more!”
Obviously, the men are just poking around with some Twitter fun. If anything, we do hope to see a Wale interview on The Joe Budden Podcast come of this, though, considering that the Nigerian flagbearer just dropped his second EP of the year, Self Promotion. He’s also been the quieter one-third of Maybach Music Group’s big three while maintain a low-profile as of late, so catching up with Folarin is well overdue.
See the hilarious trade-off for that interview between Joey and Wale below.
