Brooklyn femcee icon Lil Kim stole the show at Atlanta’s Funk Fest over the weekend when she hit the stage and hit some dance moves even harder.
The Queen Bee took on some of the most millennial dance crazes for a try including BlocBoy JB’s “Shoot” dance and one from her own New York home turf, the Milly Rock. Her dancers backed her up on the moves, too, adding a quick twerk session in beside La Bella Mafia.
We have to give it to her: most of us wouldn’t have had half of the courage it takes to get up in front of a crowd for an attempt at the trendy dance sensations in the Digital Era. Especially since one wrong move could cost you a spot in the internet’s meme mania.
But while fans over at Funk Fest seemed to enjoy Kimmie’s stab at the choreography, she faced a much tougher crowd in the digital space.
See their critiques of her performance below.
