The hip-hop community is coming out in droves honoring the life of controversial rapper XXXTENTACION. The 20-year-old was gunned down in a shooting after motorcycle shopping in Broward County, Florida earlier today (June 18).

At the time of his death, XXX was out on bail, awaiting trial for battery of a pregnant woman, false imprisonment, domestic battery by strangulation, witness-tampering and a slew of other felony charges following the 2016 assault of his then-girlfriend.

Despite his personal drama and impending legal troubles, XXXTENTACION was looking forward to giving back to his home state of Florida. He hosted a benefit concert for victims of the Stoneman Douglas High School Shooting in March and announced plans to launch the Helping Hand Foundation with his mom soon after.

Once news of XXXTENTACION's shooting and subsequent death surfaced, hip-hop artists, producers and fans took to Twitter paying their respects to the late rapper.
